How to Extend Rotor Life
Avoid riding the brakes
Keeping your foot lightly on the pedal generates constant heat without slowing the car effectively. This warps rotors over time.
Avoid hard stops followed by holding the pedal
Stopping hard and then keeping the pedal pressed transfers a hot spot of pad material to the rotor, creating an uneven deposit that leads to vibration.
Use engine braking on long downhills
